Do you know the Pamir Highway? Exactly, the famous highway M41, connecting the countries of Central Asia. On the highway you will pass Sarytash, a mountain village located at more than 3000m above sea level. Here is our small lodge, surrounded by the vastness of the Alay Valley and the majestic mountain range of the Pamir. Waking up in the morning, enjoying the view over the endless landscapes, having a cup of coffee and afterwards leaving for an adventure in the mountains... this is the Sarysoul Mountainlodge.
Anargul and Shamurat Matiev have been managing the Pamirextreme Guesthouse for several years. As the demand for places to stay increased, the guesthouse reached its capacity limits during the months of June to September. In addition, Anargul and Shamurat were expecting a kid! Therefore, we decided to build a slightly larger and more modern hostel, which offers places for a maximum of 14 people. The interior is simple and cozy, perfect to get in the mood for an adventure in the Kyrgyz mountains. Nevertheless, since we are in a developing country, western standards should not be expected throughout. A certain flexibility and understanding of local conditions is necessary for a happy trip.
It is important to us that we support the social sustainability of the local population with the Sarysoul Mountainlodge. We don't want to promote mass tourism in the Sarytash region, which is why the offer is kept small and personal. Here you will find a great playground for all kinds of adventures! Individual, without crowds and in harmony with nature and local people. We are looking forward to welcome you in Sarytash!
